Paper on electrically-controlled PMA

Congli contributed to a recent paper on voltage-controlled perpendicular magnetic anisotropy which has just been published. He showed that O moves under bias in GdO/Co/Pt multilayers, creating interfacial oxidized Co layers, which are likely responsible for the large PMA. His work has implications for the switching speed and ultimate scalability of magnetic memory and logic elements based on voltage-controlled PMA.
