Pei was born in Henan province, located in the central part of China. She received the B.S. and M.S. degree in Xi’an Jiaotong university in China and then joined Paul’s group as research assistant and a Ph.D. candidate in September, 2012.

- Use of fluctuation electron microscopy (FEM) to study the structure of medium range order (MRO) in metallic glasses.
