Min received Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign in 2010, where she worked with Richard Martin and Dallas Trinkle. She then held a postdoctoral position in Jeffrey Neaton’s group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Min joined Paul Voyles and Dane Morgan’s groups as a joint postdoctoral research associate in Feb. of 2014.
Min’s research interests include structural and electronic properties of defects in nano-materials. Min worked with density functional theory and many-body perturbation theory with GW approximation, she also participated in developing energy density method to compute the energy of various crystalline defects.
Min’s current research is focused on developing structure refinement tool for bulk metallic glasses combining genetic algorithm simulation and electron microscopy data.
