As of 10/7/09, the Voyles group has anticipated openings for at least one Ph.D. student starting in Fall 2010. Research topics include characterization of the structure and dynamics of metallic glasses and glass-forming liquids.. This project will make extensive use of our new, state-of-the-art, aberration-corrected FEI Titan STEM.

Interested students should apply to the UW Materials Science Program for admission as Ph.D. students, then contact Prof. Voyles once they have been admitted.
