Fluctuation Microscopy and Paracrystalline Model Links
Here are links related to fluctuation microscopy and the paracrystalline structural model. These are mostly the personal pages of the various researchers working in this area. I've only mentioned what connection they have to FEM and the PC model; this is not intended to reflect the full scope of their research.
- Proceedings of
Order in Disorder: Probing the Structure of Amorphous Materials, a symposium
held during Microscopy and Microanalysis
2004. Not entirely FEM, but many papers focus on that method.
Access to the papers requires a subscription to the journal
Microscopy and Microanalysis.
- Fluctuation Electron Microscopy Summer Workshop, held June 23-24, 2003 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This web site may eventually hold the slides from all the presentations.
- Sanjay Khare: A theorist working on simulations of PC silicon and binary amorphous materials in an effort to better understand FEM.
- Michael Treacy: One of the initial developers of FEM. Now at Arizona State University.
- Dave Drabold: Simulations of PC silicon.
- Normand Mousseau: Simulations of PC silicon. Formerly at Ohio University with Drabold and Nakhmanson, now at U. Montreal.
- Serge Nakhmanson: Simulations of PC silicon. Formerly Drabold's student, now at NCSU.
- John Abelson: a-Si deposition and devices, and the structure and properties of PC silicon.
- Nittala Lakshminarayana: FEM of a-Si and a-Si:H. Abelson's student.
- Todd Hufnagel: FEM of metallic glasses.
- Pawel Keblinski: Simulations of PC silicon and FEM theory.
- Judith Yang: FEM of metal oxides with Xidong Chen. Former post-doc of Gibson.
- David Muller: FEM in the STEM, and variable resolution FEM, as my former boss.
-
Jennifer Gerbi: a-Si deposition, and structural and optical properties of PC Si.
Other people without current pages.
- Jing Li: FEM of metallic glasses. Post-doc with Hufnagel.
- Murray Gibson: One of the initial developers of FEM.
- Xidong Chen: FEM of amorphous carbon and metal oxides. Post-doc and former student of Gibson.
